Grading System :

PLEASE NOTE: Each enamel pin is made by hand . As a result minor to major errors are bound to happen .  None of them will be 100% flawless. Again, we do not sell flawless pins and therefore we can not guarantee any pin will be made without any flaws.

Please keep this in mind when purchasing!

Please read below what each category means regarding pin presentation .

Standard / A : The pin is as close to flawless as possible BUT MAY NOT BE PERFECT .

Please remember there is no such thing as an ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS pin . The pin will not contain major facial flaws , but may have minor flaws surrounding the remaining areas may contain minor beauty marks that do not hinder its overall aesthetics .

This includes but is limited to light scuffs , dings / dents , pin pricks , screen printed details , small pieces of lint embedded in the enamel , minor plating errors on the front or sides , wobbly back posts , bent  back posts , or scratched backs .

Anything with special effects has a higher chance of containing minor issues such as uneven glitter specks , small dark areas in glow in the dark , bubbles in the stain glass or glittered areas , potential overfill or under-fill , gradient specks , etc…

Seconds / B : The pin will have some minors flaws visible to the eye .

These include scuff marks that take away from its aesthetics , larger pin pricks , under filled enamel areas air bubbles in regular hard enamel , several pieces of lint embedded in the enamel , overfilled enamel , misplaced enamel , screen printed errors including missing print , visible plating errors on the front or sides , and anything else mentioned above in standard grading .

Leftovers / C : The pin will have major flaws visible to the eye .

These include heavily scratched areas , deep pin pricks , missing screen print , and anything else mentioned in standard and seconds grading .

Personal Announcement :

We do grade by inspecting the pin from six inches away with heavy focus on the facial area .
Facial flaws are accounted for first and if nothing major is found the overall pin is then considered and graded into its appropriate category .
If any flaws cannot be visibly seen from six inches away it is considered to be a non major flaw therefore falling under the Standard / A category .
If you find a pin to be unsatisfactory of its given grade you are welcome to reach out via email or direct we do not consider back stamps , sides , or posts to be flawed.
We will only consider the front of the pin . Furthermore light lines that are seen when titing the pin are normal from the polishing machine . This is to ensure the enamel is relatively flat and shiny . Therefore we do not consider these to beflaws .
